Hull Shield® is expanding its commercial marine sales team and is seeking a Commercial & Workboat Account Manager focused on developing and growing relationships across the commercial, workboat, and maritime operations sector.
Hull Shield® is a leader in ultrasonic antifouling technology, delivering non-toxic, non-invasive systems that prevent biofouling on hulls and critical seawater systems. Our solutions are used globally across recreational, commercial, and specialized vessels to improve efficiency, reduce maintenance, and extend asset life.
This role is responsible for driving adoption withing commercial operators, fleets, shipyards, and marine service providers through a consultative, technical sales approach.
What you'll do
- Develop and manage relationships with:
-Commercial vessel operators (tugs, ferries, pilot boats, offshore support, etc.)
-Shipyards and new build programs
-Marine service companies and technical integrators
-Fleet managers and port-based operators - Identify and close new operations across:
-Fleet retrofits
-New vessel construction
-Service and maintenance programs - Drive specification of Hull Shield systems into:
-New builds (early-stage engagement with yards and designers)
-Fleet standardization programs - Run a structured sales process:
-Prospecting and pipeline development
-Technical consultation and system design alignment
-Proposal development and closing - Work cross-functionally with:
-Engineering (for system configuration and feasibility)
-Dealer network (where applicable for install support)
-Leadership on strategic accounts - Represent Hull Shield at:
-Industry events and trade shows (WorkBoat, regional shows, etc.)
-On-site vessel visits, shipyards, and operator facilities
What this role is & Ideal candidate
- A direct commercial sales role
- Focused on revenue generation and account ownership
- Targeting fleet operators and commercial decision-makers
- Consultative and technical in nature
- 5+ years in:
-Marine industry sales, OR
-Commercial maritime operations, OR
-Technical B2B sales (marine/mechanical/eleectrical systems) - Strong understanding of:
-Vessel operations and maintenance
-Shipyard environments or fleet management
-Marine systems (cooling, propulsion, hull performance, etc.) - Proven ability to:
-Develop new business (not just manage existing accounts)
-Sell technical solutions with a clear ROI
-Navigate multi-stakeholder sales (operator, engineer, yard) - Comfortable operating in:
-Office environment
-Field-based environment (travel required)
-Early-stage / high growth sales structure

Compensation & Locatiopns
- Base salary plus performance-based commission
