Technical Retail Sales Consultant - Marine Systems

Hull Shield is looking for a technically curious, customer-focused Retail Salesperson who enjoys engaging with customers and helping boat owners solve real challenges using premium marine solutions.  This full-time position is based in Annapolis, MD, with partial remote flexibility.  You will work directly with boat owners and marine professionals to educate, consult, and guide customers through technical product selection and the appropriate installation path for their vessel.

What you'll do

  • Work directly with retail customers via phone, email, and inbound inquiries
  • Ask technical questions to understand vessel usage and install requirements
  • Educate customers on Hull Shield® products and proper system fit
  • Quote systems accurately and manage opportunities through close
  • Coordinate handoff to dealers or service centers when appropriate
  • Support select domestic dealers as assigned
  • Capture customer questions, objections, and feedback to improve messaging
  • Maintain organized CRM notes, follow-ups, and activity tracking

What we're looking for

  • Strong communication skills and a consultative sales mindset
  • Comfort discussing technical concepts in plain language
  • Basic familiarity with boats, marine systems, or service environments
  • Familiarity with recreational boat brands and models, or willingness to learn quickly
  • Organized follow-up habits and personal accountability
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment
  • Willingness to learn products, installs, and customer use cases in depth
  • Marine industry experience is a plus, but not required
